The Wedding of Kia & Jeff {San Francisco City Hall} Wedding Photography | Marin, Napa, Sonoma County Wedding Photographer...Shelley Hohe

Kia and Jeff contacted me just a few months before their wedding so I actually never had the chance to meet them face to face till their big day. I was so excited when they told me over the phone that they were going to have an intimate wedding with their immediate family at San Francisco City Hall. This place is iconic for couples getting married. It was my first time ever being in SF City Hall and let me tell you it is STUNNING! The architecture and the lighting from all the windows are amazing for photographing a wedding.

The fun part about their wedding day is it was also my birthday. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present than to be able to capture Kia and Jeff's special day. They were so sweet, fun and of course a very gorgeous couple which made photographing them a piece of cake! Their family was amazing as well, they were all so nice to my husband and I as we were directing them where to be for what photo. Being on a time frame especially a wedding, as a photographer you have to be able to direct people and this family made it fun and easy for us!!

After the ceremony and some formal shots at San Francisco City Hall we headed to The Palace of Fine Arts which is also located in San Francisco. This is such a perfect outdoor location for portraits between the lush greenery, the exquisite architecture and the beautiful pond. You can't help but get a ton of great photos of this place. I do have to give a WARNING...watch out for bird droppings! My husband and I did get hit...LOL. As long as it happened to us and not the bride and groom!

In the end it was a blessing and honor to be able to capture this intimate and beautiful wedding for such an amazing couple. Thank you Kia and Jeff...Congratulations!!!

Beautiful Rustic Themed Wedding {Cloverdale, CA.} Wedding Photography | Marin, Napa, Sonoma County Wedding Photographer...Shelley Hohe

Seems like it was just yesterday my husband and I met this sweet couple and now they are a newly married couple. You probably remember them from their vineyard themed engagement session I shared a few months ago right here on the blog. Now I get to share photos from their beautiful wedding! The bride Zidanelia is a DIY bride and I must say she did an amazing job decorating and planning for her big day. This wedding was such a blessing for my husband and I, Zidanelia and Ariel's family were so hospitable towards us...they made us feel like family! The ceremony was a traditional Catholic wedding and it was so beautiful! After the ceremony we went to a beautiful bed and breakfast for some formal photos of just the bride and groom. The house was a white victorian with a big porch, a garden area and a swing hanging from a tree. It was such a perfect location with lots shade which was exactly what we needed being that it was very bright outside. After the formal photos we headed straight to the reception for a fun filled evening where they served delicious food, wine that the bride makes (check out her website @ Little Black Dress Wines) and music for a night full of dancing. I must say this wedding was one of the nicest weddings I have been to in a long time. It makes photographing a wedding joyful and a blessing. Thank you Zidanelia and Ariel for trusting us to capture one of the most important days in your life...your wedding day!!!
