Project Runway Birthday Party ~ Event Photography {Northern SF Bay Area Photographer...Shelley Hohe}

It has been a while since i have blogged, it has been a busy year with so many changes......moving, new job for my husband and our children in public school for the first time in 5 years. With that being said i wanted to to something extra special for our boy/girl twins for their birthday. You see with our kids being twins they have always had co-ed birthday parties since they shared the same friends from church, but with them being in different classes they had their own little group of friends they have made over the year. They really wanted their own party with their own friends.

This is where it gets exciting for me. With having boy/girl twins i always did the basic primary color happy birthday with balloons decor....started to get a little boring for me, especially having a background in party planning and decorating as a career. Well not this year! I had the chance to plan a "girl" and a "boy" party. I asked our kids what they wanted and my daughter knew right away she wanted something to do with fashion so we decided to do a "Project Runway Birthday Party" with her favorite colors pink and black. Not only did i have a blast planning and decorating but i was also able to incorporate my photography as one of the main events of this party. I set up my backdrop to resemble a runway where each girl had the chance to have her very own photoshoot. All the girls were so excited and had a blast.

As far as our son he wanted a "Pirate Party in the Park" didn't get any good photos :( with it being so windy my hands were used for holding things down on the tables....it was definitely a memorable party!! With all this being said i have decided i would love to start offering party planning which will incorporate my photography services as part of the party itself.

Pumpkin Patch Portraits ~ Sneak Peak {Northern S.F. Bay Area Photographer...Shelley Hohe}

Here is a sneak peak of some of my "Pumpkin Patch Portraits". I just love fall, the warm, rich colors and of course going to the pumpkin patches. When i think of fall i think of all the scrumptious goodness that comes with it.....close your eyes and imagine a warm cup of apple cider, the smell of pumpkin pies baking in the oven and the beautiful fall leaves blanketing the grounds outside. Can it get any better....it's just complete goodness!

Fall is such a beautiful time of year for outdoor portraits and they make the perfect Christmas card photos which i can custom design for you. I am in the process of editing the cutest 1 year old girl that i was able to capture with my camera as she explored the pumpkin patch for her very first time. It has been a while since i have picked up my camera for a photo session other than taking some snap shots of our kids. The reason being is because my husband, our kids and i have relocated back to the place both my husband and i grew up.....Marin County, the Northern San Francisco Bay Area. We lived in Oregon for almost 10 years and made some wonderful friends there who we will miss so very much. At the same time we are very happy to be back in Marin where we are close to family and long time friends.


I am very excited to be establishing my business here in the Bay Area. The photo sessions i offer can take place indoors or outdoors. I love taking photos outdoors taking advantage of natural sunlight and there are so many beautiful locations i have scoped out from San Francisco to Sonoma County that will be perfect for any outdoor session. From precious newborns to beautiful weddings and everything in between, i hope you give me the chance to capture your special moments that you can look back on for years to come.

Check it out folks, Valentines Day is sneaking up on us rather fast and it would be a great time for some fun and cute photos. I just purchased this great little prop, it's a beautiful rod iron mini stair case perfect for a sweet photo of your little valentines or for some romance photos for you couples out there. New Year • New Photos • New Special Offer ~ Lifestyle Photography {Oregon Photographer...Shelley Hohe}

Wow, can you believe it is almost the middle of January already? The past few months have been quite busy not just for me but for so many people. It was a good busy though! Busy getting ready for Christmas, which was a very nice Christmas. We stayed home this Christmas and it was quite nice just staying in our pj's most of the day while the kids enjoyed playing with all their new toys. Our little fam of four kept busy by listening to Christmas tunes while we focused on the "reason for the season"....our dear sweet Jesus, we watched tons of football and of course we ate a little too much delicious food. We also had a fun New Years, we had family game night and cracked open a bottle of sparkling cider. Me and my hubby also just celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary. So besides the kids and I having a little 24hr stomach bug, we really had a blessed couple of months!
