Friendship {Christmas Session} Marin, Sonoma, Napa County Photographer...Shelley Hohe

This session I am posting is a little past due, as a matter of fact it is actually from Christmas.  With so much going on between kids being sick, packing up all the Christmas decor, homeschooling and some personal family matters I am just now blogging about this Special family.  The beautiful mom in the photo is my best friend! We have been friends for over 16 years and I am so blessed to have a friend who sticks by my side through good times and bad.  Even living a state away from each other we still talked on the phone almost everyday.  Now that we have moved back to the S.F. Bay Area I am thrilled that our families can now be close.  I just love that we have the kind friendship that can pick up right where we left....almost like time being frozen.  When she asked me to do her families Christmas portraits I was excited and happy to do so!

Project Runway Birthday Party ~ Event Photography {Northern SF Bay Area Photographer...Shelley Hohe}

It has been a while since i have blogged, it has been a busy year with so many changes......moving, new job for my husband and our children in public school for the first time in 5 years. With that being said i wanted to to something extra special for our boy/girl twins for their birthday. You see with our kids being twins they have always had co-ed birthday parties since they shared the same friends from church, but with them being in different classes they had their own little group of friends they have made over the year. They really wanted their own party with their own friends.

This is where it gets exciting for me. With having boy/girl twins i always did the basic primary color happy birthday with balloons decor....started to get a little boring for me, especially having a background in party planning and decorating as a career. Well not this year! I had the chance to plan a "girl" and a "boy" party. I asked our kids what they wanted and my daughter knew right away she wanted something to do with fashion so we decided to do a "Project Runway Birthday Party" with her favorite colors pink and black. Not only did i have a blast planning and decorating but i was also able to incorporate my photography as one of the main events of this party. I set up my backdrop to resemble a runway where each girl had the chance to have her very own photoshoot. All the girls were so excited and had a blast.

As far as our son he wanted a "Pirate Party in the Park" didn't get any good photos :( with it being so windy my hands were used for holding things down on the tables....it was definitely a memorable party!! With all this being said i have decided i would love to start offering party planning which will incorporate my photography services as part of the party itself.

Pumpkin Patch Portraits ~ Sneak Peak {Northern S.F. Bay Area Photographer...Shelley Hohe}

Here is a sneak peak of some of my "Pumpkin Patch Portraits". I just love fall, the warm, rich colors and of course going to the pumpkin patches. When i think of fall i think of all the scrumptious goodness that comes with it.....close your eyes and imagine a warm cup of apple cider, the smell of pumpkin pies baking in the oven and the beautiful fall leaves blanketing the grounds outside. Can it get any better....it's just complete goodness!

Fall is such a beautiful time of year for outdoor portraits and they make the perfect Christmas card photos which i can custom design for you. I am in the process of editing the cutest 1 year old girl that i was able to capture with my camera as she explored the pumpkin patch for her very first time. Business in the Bay Area {Shelley Dee Photography & Artistic Design}

It has been a while since i have picked up my camera for a photo session other than taking some snap shots of our kids. The reason being is because my husband, our kids and i have relocated back to the place both my husband and i grew up.....Marin County, the Northern San Francisco Bay Area. We lived in Oregon for almost 10 years and made some wonderful friends there who we will miss so very much. At the same time we are very happy to be back in Marin where we are close to family and long time friends.


I am very excited to be establishing my business here in the Bay Area. The photo sessions i offer can take place indoors or outdoors. I love taking photos outdoors taking advantage of natural sunlight and there are so many beautiful locations i have scoped out from San Francisco to Sonoma County that will be perfect for any outdoor session. From precious newborns to beautiful weddings and everything in between, i hope you give me the chance to capture your special moments that you can look back on for years to come.

The Toscanini Children~ Newborn/Children {Oregon Photographer...Shelley Hohe}

I was so blessed to be able to get the chance to do a photo session for my friends children. Not only are they super adorable but they are super sweet as well. It was so awesome to see Jesus in these children especially big sister...she has such a heart for Jesus! As a matter of fact she asked me instead of saying "cheese can I say Jesus instead".....absolutely melted my heart with joy. Thanks to my friends for letting me capture these precious moments of your sweet children. You both are wonderful parents!!!!

Check it out folks, Valentines Day is sneaking up on us rather fast and it would be a great time for some fun and cute photos. I was so excited that I was able to capture this fun moment between my husband and son. I had no idea that my husband was sneaking up behind the other side of the tree our son was sitting on. I was just taking some cute photos. I am glad I was taking pictures when I did because the expressions on our sons face is priceless to me.

Practice Makes Perfect ~ Music {Oregon Photographer...Shelley Hohe}

My daughter has been playing the violin for a year now and she has definitely put her time into practicing. When she first started playing she would get upset that she couldn't even play a tune. Now after all her practicing she has learned to read music and can now play 8 songs. I loved being able to capture the emotions on her face as she was playing her violin.

My son just loves all of his action figures. He has quite the imagination as well. He can play and play all day till he completely crashes with toys in hand.

Wow can you believe it??? This much snow in spring!!! We just had to take advantage of the beautiful spring day to go play in the snow.

With spring in the air I decided to get the kids dressed up in some bright colors for some springtime photos. We took a drive into the country to explore some nice places for some photos. one of our findings was a beautiful orchard with the light peaking through. This was such a fun day.
