More Than Just a Christmas Tree {Personal} Marin, Napa and Sonoma County Photographer...Shelley Hohe

So excited to have our Christmas tree up and our house all decorated.  I love this time of year as we get to be together as a family and enjoy the warmth we feel in our home.  Just sitting on the couch as a family surrounding the Christmas tree,  listening to Christmas music, eating some fresh baked cookies and sipping some eggnog or coffee for me :) Does is get any better than this??  Indeed it does!  We couldn't even enjoy this season without our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  For He is the One we find our true love...our true peace...our true joy!  He is our reason for this season!  Decorations, tree, cookies and eggnog we can be without, but His love for us we cannot!  My prayer is that in the midst of this season as some might be crazy busy trying to get their shopping finished or for those that might be away from family this year, may you truly know you do have a Savior who came to this world to love you, to want fellowship with you and to give you peace that surpasses all understanding. 
Merry Christmas...may the Lord richly bless you and your family!

Congratulations Graduate {Senior Portraits} Marin, Napa, Sonoma County Photographer....Shelley Hohe

This past June I had the honor of being able to to capture not one, but two graduations and both of the high school graduates just happened to be our nieces.  It still seems like just yesterday our nieces were little girls, as a matter of fact they were just 4 years old when they were flower girls in our wedding.  Now they both have grown up to be beautiful young women.  My prayer is that God will guide them and give them hope for a bright future!

My 40th Birthday {Personal}Marin, Napa, Sonoma County Photographer....Shelley Hohe

I can't believe it has been almost a month now since I turned 40.  I wanted to post these pictures of the party my mom and husband put together for me, but June has been a very busy month.  Not only was it my birthday, but in June it is also my husbands, our twins and even our cat.  Yep...that's right all of us with June birthdays.  We always would say how strange it would be to have another child or pet who had a birthday in another month besides June.  We have been used to June birthdays for many years now.  June is a big deal in our family of four + cat = family of five.  We always plan something fun for all of us, for instance last year instead of getting presents we all had disney gift cards on our birthday lists and we ended up getting enough to pay for our entire trip to Disneyland for a week.  Having all of our birthdays in the same month has definitely been fun!


Here are the photos of my Vintage 40th Birthday.  I must confess, when I found out my mom and husband wanted to plan a party for me, I had to have my share in the decorating and crafting.  I have always said besides my love and passion for capturing people with my camera, I also love planning, crafting and decorating for parties, events and weddings.
